“Inquiries by detectives… are underway.”

Mr Elomar arrived at hospital with a black eye and bruised ribs. When police arrived to interview him, he left the facility.

Detectives have since attempted to interview Mr Elomar about his alleged ordeal, but he has not co-operated.

Mr Elomar was kidnapped on Sunday night from his home in Sydney’s south-west, where police established a crime scene.

Mr Omar was wearing an ankle bracelet at the time of his abduction. It was cut off

Police continue to investigate whether an SUV set alight in nearby Greenacre in the early hours of Monday is related.
