Serena Bass celebrates birthday at her latest Harlem hotspot

Serena Bass’ 75th birthday was a “baby boomer bonanza” at her latest Harlem eatery, Bixi, this week.

The catering queen and socialite — who previously ran the beloved Serena at the Chelsea Hotel — welcomed friends and family to Bixi’s “huge open-air patio” complete with an “amazing fire pit,” a source said.

“Serena’s son — and Anna Wintour’s [former] stepson — Sam Shaffer, gave a ‘memory lane speech,’” while style expert Robert Verdi circulated with jewelry designer Mckenzie Liautaud, and interior designer Patrick Miele told of his new line of tableware. Said the reveler: “Endless pan-Asian food — and the Lucky Jim cocktail, with tequila and chilies — ruled the night.”

Bixi has been hosting some small tastings. Bass is also executive chef at Lido restaurant.
