MARK Bezos is the brother of the world’s second-richest man, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Jeff announced that the pair would be venturing on the first human spaceflight with his company Blue Origin.
Mark Bezos is Jeff Bezos’ 53-year-old brother.
He previously served as an advertising executive, having founded his own marketing agency and then sold it in the 2000s.
He then became an executive at Robin Hood, a poverty-fighting charity in New York City.
Mark served as a volunteer firefighter in Westchester County, New York, for more than a decade.
He also serves serves on a number of non-profit boards, including iMentor, Leary Firefighters Foundation, the Robin Hood Leadership Council, and Scarsdale Schools Education Foundation.
He now runs the New York-based company HighPost Capital, which investor tracker Crunchbase described as a private equity firm owned by the Bezos family.
Jeff and Mark have one other sibling, a sister named Christina.
Jeff Bezos is estimated to be worth over $140billion and is on track to becoming the world’s first trillionaire.
While the financial future looks bleak for many during the coronavirus crisis, it has never looked better for Bezos who has become even richer during the pandemic.
Amazon is now worth $1.1trillion with its shares hitting an all-time high in April of 2020.
It helped Bezos see his fortune grow by another $6.4billion.
Using data from the last five years of the Forbes Rich List, Comparisun worked out that Bezos’ annual growth rate will make him a trillionaire in 2026 – when he is 62 years old.
The Amazon founder, who owns about 16 percent of the business’ shares, was first featured in the Forbes rich list in 1998.
He also owns a staggering amount of property, including a ranch with a space station.

Bezos revealed in an Instagram post: “Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space.
“On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother.
“The greatest adventure with my best friend.”
Currently the second richest man in the world, Bezos posted a video on his Instagram which showed him and his brother discussing the flight.
Bezos is also auctioning off a seat to a member of the public so they can join the maiden flight.
The money raised will be given to charity and the figure currently stands at just under $3million.
The rich winner of the online auction will get a place on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket-and-capsule combo.

It’s designed to autonomously fly six passengers more than 62 miles (100 km) above Earth.
That’s high enough to experience a few minutes of weightlessness and see the curvature of the planet before the pressurised capsule returns to earth under parachutes.
The capsule features six observation windows Blue Origin says are nearly three times as tall as those on a Boeing 747 jetliner and the largest ever used in space.
