Law enforcement officials in Minnesota have announced that the police officer who shot and killed Amir Locke will not face criminal charges. Locke, 22, was killed after Minneapolis police SWAT officer Mark Hanneman fired at him during an early-morning “no-knock” raid of the apartment in Minneapolis where Locke was staying. Police were searching the apartment in connection with a homicide investigation; Locke was not a suspect. Body-worn camera footage shows Locke, who was on the couch at the time, under a blanket.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson has been found dead at the young age of 38 at a hotel room in Brandon, Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed his death. He had reportedly checked into the hotel room on January 11, and his family had reported him missing on February 10. Police located him alive at the hotel and closed the case. On Monday (February 15), he was found dead by a housekeeper in the hotel room.
